The purpose of this site is to have a central area to store and publish relevant information to the estate. The Residents Association Committee hope to use this site to further enhance their ability to share information, collate issues, organise social and environmental events and much more.
The Kilbelin Abbey Residents Association Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday, 20th November 2025 at 7.30pm.
Further information, including venue confirmation, to be advised shortly.
Over the last week to 10 days, you will have seen works taking place outside our estate across both entrances. These works are being carried out by an independent contractor on behalf of ESB. Members of the RA committee have spoken to a representative from the contracting company as the entrances to our estate have been left in poor condition following the laying of the cables. We have been assured that all areas will be restored exactly as they were - green areas to be properly levelled, and fully reseeded. We have also requested the use of a road sweeper once tarmacking and landscaping are complete.
A formal email with these points and supporting photos will be sent to the contractor tomorrow, 29th September. Updates will be added to this Site as and when they are received from the contractor.
Thank you all who attended the Picnic in July, it was great to see you there. We would love to hear from anyone who attended, or could not attend, to let us know how you thought it went. Please click here to give your welcomed feedback.
As part of Kildare County Council’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, we received a donation of apple and plum trees in Autumn 2024. Committee members came together last October to carefully plant the trees in one of our communal green spaces, with the hope of enhancing the area’s biodiversity. This week, to the delight of residents, the first signs of life have appeared—fresh buds have begun to emerge, marking the start of what promises to be a fruitful and vibrant addition to our estate!
Great work was done on Sunday 13th April during the estate clean up.
Thank you to all residents who came out and helped, your support is much appreciated.
If you were unable to join the estate clean up, you might get the chance to work with your neighbours to tidy up around your communal spaces in the coming weeks.
If you wish to borrow litter pickers or hi viz vests, please let us know , as we have plenty in stock. We also have plenty of refuse bags available to collect waste etc.
Montane are aware of the 3 broken streetlights in the estate, these are the older model lights and as such require a full lantern replacement.
We received an update on the 29th of April 2025 that replacement lanterns have been ordered for these three lights and all of the older model lanterns in the estate to bring them up to current standards. We expect the lights to be replaced in the coming months.
As you may have spotted there are new house number signs installed throughout the estate.
The committee have been pushing for these to be installed for a while now and we are delighted with the result.
